#SOUTH AFRICA  THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA  On the 18 th of July 1918 a south African anti-apartheid revolutionary, a chief of abaThembu tripe, a worldwide icon, international praised, from jail to presidency, the first black president of a democratic south Africa, a compound, a reconciler, a unifier, was born in a small village called Mvezo in Eastern cape, I speak of the late political hero Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela who fought against apartheid and he was a leader of Umkhonto we Sizwe the liberation movement. Mandela was firstly  arrested in 1962 when he led a sabotage campaign against the government and served 27 years in prison, firstly on Robben Island, and later in Pollsmoor Prison and Victor Verster Prison. #FeesMustFall THE SPREAD OF THE #FEESMUSTFALL CAMPAIGN  The #feesmustfall campaign began in mid October 2015 by the students representative council of the Witwatersrand demanding the implementation of free tertiary education, the campaign started eye catching to the local and international media platforms when the nine universities started to protest and the message was clear that the cost of higher education were too high and unaffordable for the majority of poor black students, the protest started peacefully until it was widely supported things changed the protest started turning violent. POSITIVE ASPECT ACHIEVED BY THE #FEESMUSTFALL CAMPAIGN The #FeesMustFall movement was praised for its achievement in raising awareness about the funding crisis in higher education in South Africa.
